About Ann

Ann Barros is a senior Iyengar yoga instructor with over 40 years’ experience teaching yoga classes and leading workshops worldwide. Ann first studied with BKS Iyengar in India in 1976 and he personally guided her in curing her scoliosis. In 1980, she received her certification from the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco and returned to study in India. Later that year, she visited Bali for the first time. She never imagined that this beautiful Indonesian island would become her second home.

Yoga in Bali

Since 1985, Ann has led Yoga in Bali workshops and has formed lifetime bonds in the Ubud region of Bali. She returns to her beloved Bali annually to lead teacher training programs and workshops. Students who join her special Yoga in Bali tours and Asia programs develop a solid foundation and understanding of yoga poses and gain a deep insight into those unique places.

A resident of Santa Cruz, California, Ann has operated her own studio in the Iyengar tradition in Ubud since 2006.
